Scanning has the same draw backs as digital cameras it seems, the colours never match up with what I have on the film, what started out as just a simple job of cleaning up bits of dust that got by the Digital ICE turned into a colour correction. This was shot on Provia 100F transparency film, the rich colours that the film produces were lost in the scanning but I believe I’ve recaptured them in post production, I’ll have to wait until I do a few test prints to see if it needs further work, but for the time being I can move too other work and leave these on stand-by until I attack occupy Cork and Belfast for portraits.
